Annual Events

Open House (first Sunday in May)
The Humane Society's Annual Open House is held the first Sunday in May as the kick-off to Be Kind to Animals Week. Our Board of Directors and Staff see this as an excellent opportunity to invite our members and the general public to visit and tour our facilities. It is always a day full of family fun, dog agility demonstrations, music, and educational opportunities. Information on the most recent Open House is here.

Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon (March)
In March of each year, we honor our wonderful group of dedicated volunteers by hosting a Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon. It is our privilege to recognize and thank these special people for the loving care they give our adoption animals year-round.

Summer Critter Camp (June and July)
During the summer months, we offer a fun and educational camp for animal lovers between the ages of 9 and 11. Activities include animal-related crafts, games, and videos, as well as daily visits to the adoption animals. To learn more about Critter Camp, please click here.

Also, we offer a reduced adoption fee for cats during the month of June.
